On this page is a complied display of the work I have created during my time in the IDT program.

This includes work from class assignments, my internship and passion projects.

Needs Assessment

&

Goal Analysis

During my time in the IDT program I created a few instructional units or projects that contained needs assessments.

To showcase two examples I have linked, to the right, my conceptual instructional unit on being a vegan in Tampa. I have also linked my procedural instruction on how to apply a tourniquet.

Context: During my first semester in the IDT program, my team and I completed a guide containing resources for Tampa's best vegan stops and a step by step guide of how to apply a tourniquet.

Conditions: I worked on a team with three others for this project. We were all new to the program. For each project, we completed a goal analysis, a learner analysis and a needs assessment.  We based our instruction of ARCS Model. We outlined objectives for learners and examined the relevance of the content.

Role: I took the role of team lead for these projects, organizing our deadlines and doing final edits. I also participated in each stage of the analysis and each stage of writing the reports.

Design

Context: Throughout my time at UT, I created some instruction based off personal interests. One of those was a PowToon video to guide teachers on how to build a classroom library.

Condition: This project allowed me to be creative and try out a new software, as it was my first time using PowToon.

Scope: This project was just a personal endeavor and something I made out of interest, and to begin creating projects for the world of elementary education.

Role: This was an independent project.

Research

Projects

Context: In my last semester in the program, Fall 2020, I was enrolled in 603, Inquiry & Measurement. In this class we conducted a research study with a group. Our research was based on learner health and wellness.

Condition: My group, consisting of myself and three others, studied the correlation between mental and physical health and wellness practices and academic performance.

Scope: The data for this project was created through surveys and interviews, and the pool of subjects came from other students at The University of Tampa.

Role: We drafted proposals, received IRB approval, conducted surveys and interviews and analyzed/compiled data to write up findings. I was heavily involved in all sections of this project.

Theories Work

Context: Throughout my time at UT I was enrolled in a class based on the theories of learning and Instructional Design. While most of the projects created touched on theories, please find attached a presentation and annotated bibliography on specific theories.

Role: You can also ready about my personal learning theories in the second link, a compilation of my written papers. In this class we wrote 5 group papers, each with a different partner to develop our personal learning theories. I have compiled them all onto one document.

Content

Design

During my time in the program, I also worked in Rise Articulate. This is my favorite software to work with and attached is one example of my work in Rise.

Context: While enrolled in Management of Instructional Content, during my last semester, Fall 2020, I created a chapter presentation using rise on working as a team.

Scope: This presentation was created from chapters in the book, Project Management for Instructional Designers.

Role: This was an independent project.

Design

2.0

For another example of my work in Rise, I have attached a passion project I completed.

Context: I have a big interest in health and wellness, and its impact on daily life. When doing research on health and wellness in my research class, I decided to create a presentation to give people tangible lessons and examples of health and wellness.

Scope: This presentation was created from my own research into health and wellness and was created in Rise. I tried to include lots of multimedia and features of Rise.

Role: This was an independent project.

Project Management

I have linked my Project Management Scope document. For this assignment, I created a project scope that would be hypothetically used to create a curriculum and program for Nursing students wanting to study remotely. In this document I outline all the parts of the project, the team and the assignments that would allow the team to complete the project. I had to create the team, the deadlines, the budget and the roles of each member to complete this project scope. I created this in one of my required classes, and it was an independent project.
