Goal Statement:

Prior to entering the Instructional Design program at The University of Tampa Monique pursued a degree in education. Monique discovered a passion for teaching and began the IDT program to help focus and develop skills that would aid her in the classroom and developing instruction for future students.
Crafting Desk
Monique's goal is to hone her skills in instructional design to help her both write and implement instruction for her own classroom and school.  She hopes to be able to analyze performance issues within a classroom and respond effectively through developing written instruction.  Creating instruction containing a variety of media is a way to engage multiple types of learners and she hopes to be able to develop engaging curriculum using technology as well as face to face instruction. This can range from different e-learning systems, videos, and collaborative learning. These skills will be honed in on and developed during her time in the IDT program.

Monique is currently pursuing a graduate degree to help her develop the following skills:
- Understand and focus on how individuals learn
- What keeps learners motivated
- Working efficiently and collaboratively with groups to design instruction
- Advanced ways to create instruction based on individual needs and requests
- Exploring and learning new tools within the field
- Developing E-learning skills and resources

Monique's ideal job would be classroom teaching that is focused on analyzing performance issues and developing instruction accordingly. Monqiue hopes to be able to do this effectively for her classroom but also branch out and help other teachers and her school community to provide the most effective and necessary instruction for students.
